This is the 5th and final part of the Creating a More Recognizable Brand series. First, let's recap what we talked about in the first 4 weeks of this series!
Week 1 - Colors, Fonts, and Logos
Week 2 - Brand Voice and Messaging
Week 4 - Brand Photography and what that does for your brand
The 5th and final week is 3 quick ways to incorporate all your logos, fonts, colors, and photos into your website + a bonus!
Firstly, head over to your website and find where you can input your brand colors to make it change across your entire website. On Squarespace, for example, when you are editing your website, there is a little paintbrush icon at the top right of your screen and when you hover over it, it says site styles. When you click on that you’re able to update your fonts colors and other miscellaneous branding items, and it will update across your entire website. This is convenient so that you don't have to update every individual piece of your website. Keep in mind that doing this might still require some light adjusting even after making the site style change.
Secondly, you are going to want to change the messaging and text across your website to be more reflective of your brand voice and the overall message and ideal client you’re trying to market it to. Doing your entire website can be overwhelming. Which is why I recommend starting with your homepage, then your services page, then you’re about Page, and then your FAQs Page. After you’ve got those four main pages completed, slowly start to integrate your voice and messaging into the other pages of your website. Make a checklist for the order you want to complete the pages in.
Thirdly, start integrating your new brand images into your website. Put your headshot in and a “mini about” section on the homepage of your website. If you have an actual “About" Page, put one of your headshots on that page as well.
On your services page, use a couple of pictures of you in action. I typically recommend using one to two pictures from your brand session for each type of service that you offer. Similarly, if you have a lot of products, then use 2 to 4 images per product. This helps your ideal clients really visualize what it's like to work with you.
BONUS: Put a different headshot image on your contact page. And if you have a blog, I challenge you to use at least one of your brand images within your blog post. Doing this allows your clients to feel like your blog is more interactive and visually appealing to read (feels less like walls of text).
