Getting to know my clients starts from the moment that you send your inquiry to my inbox!

Once I see your inquiry I try to get in touch with you as soon as I can, starting with an email or a phone call (you have the option to choose what you prefer). Once we get started chatting we decide on these major pieces of your photo needs. . .

Say for example, you reach out to me for a brand photo shoot. The first thing I do is send you my Brand Photo Package information. I currently (as of 2025) offer 3 different photo packages for my clients, so that you have options for your brand! We have our Bold Collection (starting at $650), our Brave Collection (starting at $325), and our Strong Collection (starting at $150). Each of these photo packages comes with many different options for how to customize and tailor your session to your photo needs. Once you've chosen the photo package that best fits your business needs, we’ll kick things off with the onboarding process. This includes finalizing your Terms of Service contract and invoice. Once that’s taken care of, we dive into the fun part—planning your session!

We’ll start by choosing a location. If you already have a spot in mind, great! If not, no worries—I’ve got a curated location guide filled with some of the best photo spots around West Michigan to help you get inspired.

Next up: your outfit! If putting together a look stresses you out, don’t worry—I’ve got you covered with the Fortis Media Style Guide, that is sent out after booking is confirmed!

This 4-page resource is packed with easy-to-follow tips (including some often-overlooked do’s and don’ts) to help you feel confident and camera-ready. From clothing to hair and makeup, it covers it all—and even includes a list of local West Michigan shops and retailers in case you want to pick up something fresh for your session.

Thirdly, we make a rough plan of what the session will be like and what the “must have shots” we need to capture are.

Now, it’s tough to describe exactly how a brand session will unfold—because no two are ever the same. But I can tell you this: we don’t jump straight into snapping photos the second we step out of our cars.

I’ll usually start by asking you a few questions and chatting with you a bit to help you settle in and feel comfortable in front of the camera. From there, we’ll capture your must-have shots first—the key visuals we planned for. Once those are done, we can lean into the more creative side and capture some fun, spontaneous moments that make your brand shine.
